General Process

① Excess brush and small trees are removed from dense parts of the forest and around communities to improve forest health and reduce risk of wildfire.

② The biomass material from forest thinning is transported to a local West Biofuels facility for utilization.  This a needed alternative to open burning which leads to air pollution and climate change.

③ Using advanced technology, West Biofuels uses the biomass to generate carbon neutral electricity which powers the local community.

④ Biochar, the byproduct of the process, is used to sequester carbon and improve soil health, creating a unique process that reverses the climate change while producing energy.
