Mariposa Bioenergy
West Biofuels will requisition and operate a 3-Megawatt BioMAT power plant in Mariposa County, California scheduled to open in 2026. This bioenergy facility will also use gasifier technology to convert sustainably sourced forest wood waste into (1) renewable electricity connected to California’s PG&E power grid and (2) sustainable biochar co-product soil amendment that reduces agricultural water usage, improves plant growth and sequesters carbon. The project will support the economy in the region while aiding in the transition to renewable energy sources.
